I use cameras all the time and I'm amazed by their ability to work with and manipulate light. In film Day for Night is when you simulates night while filming in the day. I want my car to do the opposite! While i'm driving I often find myself reaching over to press an auto-exposure button to correct what's happening beyond the windshield, especially the moment a super bright head lit car passes.
It's amazing how often we allow for moments of uncertainty while driving - whether it's when we realize we've been day dreaming for a long stretch of road or when we quickly glance to our phone or at night, for seconds on end, when your eyes adjust to the dark. It's not safe and not necessary either. There is always a better way!
