Stopping the spread of Ebola is a global concern. We need portable containment units that can be sent to areas that do not have sufficient medical infrastructure. A pod would allow the patient to be treated while protecting health workers. Pods should be faster to produce and cheaper than current solutions. They should be ultra portable for front line work.

i would like to know a bit more about how my dog is feeling, as he is declining. Seeing a few more nuances in his vital signs may help me understand what is really happening. He's a stoic dog, and doesn't let on that he might be suffering.
Safe Eye Med Dropper
Sparked by Reed Hoffman
We need a simple technology to help people deliver eye drop medication into their eyes. Many people struggle to get drops in their eyes & risk losing their sight without the medication. It is easy to miss their eye with the drops entirely or strike their eye with the dropper bottle. The technology should work with many original medication bottles, it should be inexpensive, sterile, & easy to use.

An app that has the ability to detect the unfamiliar form of sign language and translate the unfamiliar form of sign language through a projection on the phone would bridge the gap to this barrier.
